What is USDC?

USDC is a stablecoin designed to stay pegged to the U.S. dollar and to be redeemable on a 1:1 basis. In simple terms, 1 USDC is designed to equal approximately $1.00 USD.

Coinbase states that USDC is backed by cash and short-dated U.S. Treasury assets held with regulated U.S. financial institutions, with monthly third-party reserve attestations.

Important: “Pegged” does not mean guaranteed. Market prices can briefly move away from $1, and all digital assets involve risk.

6

Review and trade

If MCC trading is offered in your Coinbase app, review price, fees, network, and risk before confirming.

Step 1

Download the official Coinbase app

Use the Apple App Store or Google Play and confirm that the publisher is Coinbase. You can also use Coinbase through its official website.

Step 2

Create your account and verify your identity

Enter your legal information and follow Coinbase’s prompts. Coinbase may request a valid government-issued ID, a selfie or video, and additional information for legal, compliance, security, and fraud-prevention purposes.

Step 3

Connect your banking information

Open payment methods and connect an eligible bank account, debit card, or another payment option available in your region. Confirm all information before continuing.

Step 4

Buy USDC

Inside Coinbase, select Buy, search for USDC, choose your payment method, enter the desired dollar amount, review the purchase details and fees, and confirm.

Step 5

Find and verify MCC

Search for MCC or paste the official contract below. Never rely only on the name “MCC,” because unrelated tokens can use the same ticker.

Step 6

Check whether Coinbase offers the trade

Coinbase’s decentralized-exchange features are being rolled out by region. If the app shows MCC as tradable, review the token address, Solana network, quoted price, slippage, network costs, Coinbase fees, and all warnings before confirming.

If Coinbase does not show MCC as tradable, you cannot buy MCC directly through your Coinbase account at that time. Do not send funds to an unknown address or follow instructions from strangers.

Before purchasing any MCC

✓ Verify the complete contract address.

✓ Consider a small test transaction.

✓ Review liquidity and holder concentration.

✓ Never share passwords, verification codes, or recovery information.

✓ Understand that Coinbase cannot reverse an on-chain transaction.

✓ Never use money you cannot afford to lose.
